This is a Procurement and Logistics Specialist, reporting to the Engineering Manager in Business Area - India Operations Centre, Process Automation (INOPC PA) based in Bangalore, India. You will be primarily responsible to support the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of Procurement & Logistics (PL) Practice approved activities. Execute assigned activities based on the standard procedures.

Your responsibilities

• Designs and implements plans for local sourcing to reach the business targets. Supports regional and global sourcing initiatives as required.
• Applies and implements PL standards, tools, and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Creates and updates reports, as required, following the ABB standards.
• Executes and implements new directions within the area of responsibility.
• Delivers and participates in training programs as required for compliance and professional development.
• Standardizes processes and implements routines as per Group directives/instructions.

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering from an accredited institution
• A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning systems, preferably with SAP.
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good presentation skills.
