Your role
- The Graduate Engineering Trainee (GET) is tasked with reviewing products and processes, identifying opportunities for process and capacity improvements, and executing improvement plans in alignment with company goals.
- The role involves coordinating and reviewing operational activities in the process area, analyzing product formulations for feasibility and improvement, and collaborating with R&D for product development.
- The GET assesses process feasibility, identifies capability needs, and assists in preparing capital and operating costs for process improvement projects.
- The trainee liaises with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts on product formulations and process improvements, promoting good human relations and adherence to Abbott Values.
- Responsibilities include providing innovative ideas for efficiency and quality improvements, ensuring safety compliance, analyzing root causes, and assisting in corrective actions.
- The GET leads process benchmarking and best practice execution for lean processes and improved quality, partners with the quality function in GMP and quality issues, and leads assigned improvement projects to ensure on-time completion.
About you
- The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Dairy Technology and has 0 to 3 years of experience or is a fresher.
- A good understanding of milk/food processing, mixing, evaporation, spray drying, CIP methodology, production/material operations, food safety management systems, ISO, HACCP, quality assurance, risk assessment, and EHS is required.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is beneficial.
- The candidate should possess strong planning and execution abilities, sound people management skills, and a good understanding of process improvement, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
