Today, Amazon sells products through its website and third-party sellers on its marketplace platform. Amazon's business model is unique because it allows companies to sell their goods directly to consumers without buying inventory or building a distribution network. Amazon takes a cut of each sale made through its marketplace platform and charges fees for services like Prime shipping and Amazon Echo sales.
