Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic, 3D Support associate (Pre/Post check) to join our team. The ideal candidate would be well-versed in 3D, with good background in 3D modeling, lighting, UV wrapping, rendering, and who demonstrates photo-realistic asset creation of real-world objects. This position requires intrinsic design abilities, digital expertise, and acute attention to detail.

Basic Qualifications

• 0-3 years of professional experience working in a fast-paced 3D production or QA environment
• Must demonstrate an understanding of technical art production and end-to-end modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, and rendering
• Fast turnaround on both hard-surface and organic modeling is a must
• Must be very well versed in the 3D domain and its related Software. Preferably MAYA, Zbrush, and Substance Painter
• Excellent communications, Presentation, and Interpersonal skills

Job responsibilities

• Handle Pre/Post-production process to support the complete 3D model output workflow
• The candidate will check on pre-requisites for 3D Asset creation, measure the 3D output quality from process aspects (Photo-realism match) and trigger the defects back to artists with relevant feedback for systemic fix
• Interpret and analyze the catalog information and highlight defects in dimensions and Imagery
• Document catalog defects with internal reporting and audits
• Maintain consistently high standards for accuracy, aesthetics, and productivity
• Performs quantitative analysis of key process indicators to identify opportunities for process improvement

About the team

The Digital Imaging Services (DIS) team handles the post-production activity for Amazon product images to provide consistent imagery, remove distractions and enable customers with their buying decisions. DIS handles the Retouch, Color Authoring (CA), 3D, Video Editing, and Quality Audit services for both Studio and Vendor images. DIS also manages customers' and vendor’s contacts support services for images related queries. A three-dimensional artist, or 3D artist, works in media production and creates elements for 3D images, games, and movies. 3D artists are experts in everything about form, color, and light. We create 3D images, review and make changes according to feedback, and create models of different materials. 3D Quality Analyst will audit these files against the reference image and approve/reject the output and share necessary feedback.

Basic Qualification

• 0-3 years of professional experience working in a fast-paced 3D pre-production or Support (QA) environment
• Must demonstrate an understanding of technical art production and end-to-end modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, and rendering
• Must be very well versed in Maya 2020, Adobe Photoshop with basic knowledge of ZBrush, Substance Painter
• Excellent communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Should have an eye for perspective, color, and lighting.
• Good sense of form, shape, silhouette, scale, and surface materials.
• Basis knowledge of the procedural method and their implementation

Preferred Qualification

• Uses data to drive decisions related to operational issues and highlights issues to be corrected.
• Responsible for providing support for data collection, preparing reports, and where appropriate pushing back & realigning expectations to multiple stakeholders
• Monitoring & Coordinating E2E 3D Quality improvements
• Root cause analysis and contribute to writing correction of error (COE)
• Proactively identify the defects in the process and suggest solutions to prevent the defects
• Experienced in training and mentoring the process associates
