Your role
Key responsibilities are as follows:
- Work with large, complex data sets to solve non-routine analysis problems.
- Conduct data gathering, processing, analysis, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Make business recommendations through effective presentations and visual displays.
- Research and develop methods to enhance Google's user-facing products.
- Collaborate with teams to create data-driven and privacy-preserving products.
- Combine experimentation, statistical-econometric, and machine-learning methods to address business questions.
About you
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Operations Research, Physics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with statistical software such as R, Python, S-Plus, or SAS.
- Internship or work experience with data, including quantitative methodologies and causal inference.
- Preferred qualifications include a PhD in a relevant field and experience with statistical data analysis, machine learning, and teaching new techniques.
