Software Student Training in Engineering Program (STEP) Intern (Apr 2025)

Your role

Key responsibilities are as follows:

• Collaborate on a software development project with Googlers and fellow interns.
• Enhance coding skills and gain exposure to various programming languages and tools.
• Participate in technical talks and engage in community-building activities.
• Work with a Google Engineer mentor to guide your summer experience.

About you

Candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• Minimum qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program, majoring or intending to major in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to actively participate in technical discussions.
• Preferred qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship.
  • Ability to complete a full-time, 10-12 week internship between May and August 2025 (exact program dates will be provided at a later point in the process).
  • Excellent programming skills (e.g., C++, Java, Python).
