Your role

The Junior Analyst will work closely with front-office Private-side Corporate Derivatives teams across the globe on a wide array of derivative products and help in research, analysis, and pitching risk management solutions to corporates for hedging exposure to FX, rates, equity, credit, and commodities asset classes and related situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Marketing materials and pricing support:

Work with senior bankers across regional locations to prepare marketing materials for clients including market updates, macroeconomic outlook, pricing updates, risk exposure analysis and hedging profiles, case studies, and peer benchmarking.

  • Financial analysis:

Analysis and interpretation of financial statements of corporates focused on the risk management aspect. Work on various technical projects involving analysis of volatility, back-testing of different hedging instruments, and subsequent recommendation of optimum hedging solutions.

  • Market research:

Support with market intelligence to identify market trends, and potential deal opportunities with priority clients (maintain databases, trackers, etc.).

  • Management review packs:

Create MIS focused on business scoping by analyzing the global and regional wallet distribution of derivatives markets. Create internal business scorecards, strategy project trackers, and regional business review packs for senior management.

About you

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Engineering, Commerce, or Economics graduates from top-tier colleges with an excellent academic record.
  • Basic understanding of Investment Banking with strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Knowledge of analyzing company financials /financial modeling in Excel
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask several projects, have a keen eye for detail, and deliver quality under pressure.
  • Ability to adapt to non-standard requests independently with minimal guidance and manage time when faced with multiple urgent tasks.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Relevant work experience in derivatives with a quantitative background.
  • Knowledge of databases like Bloomberg etc.
  • An eye for automation; basic knowledge of VBA and Python.
