The Azure Core Networking team develops the software and hardware for one of the largest networks on the planet. We also deploy and operate the network globally, in hundreds of data centres and network locations. The network underlies Microsoft Azure and supports hundreds of thousands of customers and services. The Azure Network also supports the growing needs of 200-plus Microsoft online services, including Office 365, Skype and Bing.

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to drive products and initiatives across network monitoring in Azure Core Networking. You will be working on the health of the network to ensure extremely high availability and reliability of the cloud, building services to validate the topology/configurations.  You will also be working on a new tech roadmap, talking to customers about their requirements and leading the infrastructure evolution. A deep understanding of switching, routing, great analytical capability and sound communication skills will help you to succeed in this role. Responsibilities

• Have deep networking experience and understanding of switching, routing and networking protocols
• Strong analytical skills
• Demonstrated technical problem solving and communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership and exceptional cross-team skills
• Excellent write skill on delivering specifications and playbooks
• Create, evolve, and communicate roadmap based on competitive landscape, industry trends, customer voice etc. that enables customer and business themes and multi-year product vision.
• Work across partner teams in Azure and identify synergies to deliver end to end customer and business value.
• Be excited about the “networking in cloud” story, and all that happens under the hood.
• Work with data to enable data-driven decisions.
• Make pragmatic business and engineering tradeoffs to deliver business value.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional product management and/or software development experience (cloud or networking-related experience is a plus)
• 4+ years of software industry experience
• Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Engineering.
• Proven experience in planning and executing on a complex multi-cycle initiative
• Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with a strategic orientation, as well as an aptitude for solving complex business problems.
• Experience in Data Center Network Technologies is a plus
• Experience in open-source projects is a plus
• Experience in switching hardware is a plus
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, particularly in working with remote teams.
• Strong aptitude for data-driven decision-making.
• Strong focus on delivering end to end customer value.
• Demonstrated leadership and exceptional cross-team skills.
